AAHA Tampa 2008 Rewind

AAHA Tampa 2008 was fabulous! A very well-organized conference; the location and time of year were great; I really enjoyed the speakers; I liked the scheduling. We’re excited about Phoenix next year!”

Success beamed bright at AAHA’s 75th Anniversary Yearly Conference in sunny Tampa, Florida. A total of 3,665 attendees enjoyed our sun, sand and superior CE, including 1,330 veterinarians; 295 practice managers; 395 technicians; 125 veterinary assistants and support staff; 100 veterinary students, veterinary technician students, and other professionals; 500 guests; and 920 exhibitors.

Over the past seventy-five years, AAHA has established itself as a leader in helping practices thrive, continually adapting to meet changing needs. AAHA Tampa 2008 featured a wave of improvements, including a condensed schedule, pre-conference programs and additional networking opportunities.

The condensed schedule was a direct result of past participant feedback to shorten the time attendees were away from their practices, while still offering the same amount of CE. The pre-conference programs were designed as in-depth, intense learning experiences for a limited audience that allowed attendees to focus on one topic for an entire day. They also provided an opportunity for those that weren’t able to attend the entire conference to still get their hands on some of the high-quality CE that AAHA offers.

For more details about the premiere CE offered at AAHA Tampa 2008, please refer to NEWStat, Trends, Trends online or a copy of the Tampa 2008 Proceedings, which can be purchased at the AAHA Store online. You can also find Tampa session handouts posted here.

Our modified conference pattern that better meets your needs and cutting edge CE presented by engaging experts are just a couple things that made Tampa so valuable. However, the AAHA Yearly Conference is different than any other in our industry because of the environment we create for attendees—an intimate atmosphere that fosters networking at every turn. We know the importance our members place on the chance to share ideas and interact, and the networking that AAHA Tampa 2008 attendees experienced was absolutely unmatched.

In addition to refreshment breaks, lunch breaks and happy hours, AAHA Tampa 2008 featured these specific activities to give attendees opportunities to chat with and learn from colleagues:
